Allison Funk

”The clarity of Allison Funk’s forms of conversion is in their care—the patience and proportion of their declaration. They have not arrived at the page in haste. They are convicted in fact, by an affection not easily earned, but thoughtfully given. Their directness is at the heart of their integrity, their economy a way of establishing value. These are poems to the point, beautifully made, deeply felt.”

Additional Praise:

”Two strengths especially appeal to me in Allison Funk’s work: the daring leaps in association and the occasional astonishing and unexpected image…The poems have a unified and highly original quality.”
